December Update 12/08/2011

Dear Parents,

Our Thanksgiving Play was a success!  The children practiced so hard and their efforts really showed.  We are proud of them.  Everyone enjoyed our Thanksgiving Feast.  Special thanks to Ms. Simone and Ms. Rachael, who cooked the delicious turkeys, Ms. Theresa who made the stuffing, and Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Connie Di Renzo who organized and set up all the food.  Thank you for all your donations that made our feast possible.

We had a nice parent visiting day, the children enjoyed showing their favorite work activities and sharing their day.  We have many holiday events this month.  Friday, December 2nd there is our tree dedication as well as an "I Can."  Hawa and Brianna will be the "I Can" children from P3.  We start our "Customs Around the World" unit in preparation for the assembly on Thursday, December 15th.  The P3 class will study the customs of Russia.  The children will learn about La Posadas in Spanish Class and celebrate on Tuesday, December 20th.  A few children from each of the Primary Classes will visit and sing for some of our neighbors.  A Permission Slip will  be sent home with dates and details for you to sign.  Our last event of the year is our Christmas Sing-A-Long and visit from Santa on Friday, December 23rd.

REMINDER: SCHOOL IS CLOSED MONDAY, DECEMBER 26TH THROUGH MONDAY, JANUARY 2ND AND WILL REOPEN ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 3RD.

We have enjoyed teaching your children this year and look forward to 2012.  Have a safe and happy holiday!

                                Thank you,

                                Miss Connie and Miss Lori
