January Update 01/19/2012

We hope everyone enjoyed their holidays.  Thank you for your generosity with gifts and donations throughout the Christmas season.  Our Martin Luther King/Special Person Assembly was educational and fun.  The P3 class learned about Robert McNair, a NASA astronaut.  The children also learned many interesting facts about Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King.

This month the children are learning about geometric solids, the continents and money.  Please practice money with your children at home.  They love to play games with money.

The children are looking forward to Pajama Day on January 25th.  It is a fun day to be cozy in our pajamas and enjoy stories together.

Please start thinking about your child's 100th day project.  They can collect a 100 objects and make a poster or collection.  Some ideas are stickers, buttons, pennies, paper clips or cereal.

My son, his father and myself really had a fun time as a family working on the 100th day activity at home. My son loves stickers and had a great time putting the poster together to show to his classmates. I was really impressed as well with how well he is starting to write. Thanks, Miss Lori and Miss Connie

Thank you for your nice comments. We are happy you enjoyed helping Xavier create his 100th day project and that it was a special
family experience. He was so happy to share his creation with his teachers and friends. It was a fun day for all!
