We began the month of May with a celebration of May Day. The children enjoyed a lemonade and sugar cookie tea party with their special stuffed friends. They then enjoyed a dance around the Maypole, a visit from Raggedy Ann, and a story about using our best manners. Lots of fun for all! We planted flowers in the pots and flower boxes on Friday, May 3rd, for our Earth Day project. We also had a fun celebrating Cinco de Mayo in Spanish Class with Ms. Simone. We had special treats, music, and dances from the Mexican culture.
Talent time was a great success! Students were true stars as they took to the assembly stage and performed their wonderful acts. Parents and teachers were proud of them! The primary classes will be doing a project on the Botany Cabinet during the month of May. We will also finish learning about the letter Zz and our last state to learn about will be Minnesota. We will be practicing for our year and show throughout the month. The children are learning the words and moves to our "Beatles" show.
Thanks for all the donations for our events. We couldn't have done them without you!
