Happy New Year!  We have had a busy few weeks since we have returned from the holiday break.  The children have enjoyed a couple Music enrichment classes with Miss Rose and Spanish classes with Miss Simone.  They always look forward to these special classes.

This month we have been teaching the children about Emotions and Feelings and have done many cute activities with them.  You should see all their "happy" and "silly" faces!!!!!!!!

We are thrilled to welcome Connor in our class this month and Miatta and Ryan who joined us in December, 2011.  They have all made a smooth adjustment into our program.

We continue to be amazed at how responsive the young infant and toddlers are to our class curriculum ... i.e..  circle and independent Montessori work time.  All of our children are making great strides in following directions, becoming good communicators and successfully using the manipulative learning materials.

We will participate in the Pajama Day, an annual school event on Wednesday, January 25th.  It is a fun and relaxing day.... so don't forget to bring your child to school in their pajamas.... however be sure to put on their sneakers!!!!

Soon we will begin to work in our mid-year progress reports.  also, a friendly reminder, that all children must wear sneakers to school everyday.... please no boots and even our babies must have footwear.   Also, all their belongings i.e..jackets, hats, mittens...etc. must be labelled.

                                        Thank you!

                                        Miss Sue and Miss Marie

                                        Dear Parents,

The E1/E2 toddlers have been busy preparing for the holidays....It has been fun including them in all of the holiday festivities...from the Christmas tree dedication, Las Posadas and Customs Around the World Assembly.  We thank all of our parents who contributed to Toys for Tots and the Veterans Hospital.  We can not wait to see the excitement in the children's eyes when our "Special" visitor comes to the school on Friday, December 23rd.  We enjoy sharing this speical time with your precious little ones.

We wish you and your family the happiest Holiday and look forward to seeing you in tne New Year!

November is a busy month for the E1/E2 classroom.  We are doing a unit study on manners and kindness.  The children are learning through stories and incorporating manners throughout the day.

Our Veterans Day and "I Can" Assembly is on Thursday, November 11th.  If your child is an "I Can" child you will be notified. The children enjoy music enrichment class with Miss Rose, she is planning a Pow Wow on Wednesday, November 16th.  Our Annual Thanksgiving Day Play will be on Monday, November 21st.  Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you.

On Tuesday, November 22nd we will be enjoying our Thanksgiving Feast for lunch.  Each child is asked to bring a specific item to help contribute to the celebration of Thanksgiving.

Please note our school will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th in celebration of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

We would like to wish all our families a happy and thankful holiday.
