We discussed our 5 senses and experienced smelling and tasting different foods. We also enjoyed "Pajama Day." The children had fun wearing their warm and cozy pajamas to school and hearing stories about hibernation. At the "Special Persons Assembly and Martin Luther King Program", the children did a wonderful job joining with the E3 class to honor Dr. Martin Luther King. February is filled with many fun activities. We celebrated Chinese New Year on February 5th, and Miss Simone taught about the Chinese customs and special activities that happen. We will also be having our "President's Day and I Can Assembly". We are looking forward to watching Bella and Mohasin do their special "I Can" during assembly. Please watch for our Valentine's letter including a class list for the Valentine's Day card exchange. We have also requested a few items to help with our annual Valentine's Day class parties on February 14th. Please note that our school will be closed in observance of Presidents' Day, Monday, February 18, 2013. Have a great Valentine's Day from all your "little ones". Thank You! Ms. Sue Our E2 and E3 classes studied the five senses today. We smelled, tasted, saw, heard, and touched many different things. The fun take away...none of them appreciated the smell of vanilla extract!
![]() Welcome back to all our families! We hop you had a safe and happy holiday. Winter has arrived! The cold weather is upon us, so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately, sneakers, sweater, and of course, hats and gloves. We do try to go outside as often as possible. This month we will be discussing our 5 senses and having a tasting, smelling, hearing, seeing, and touching experience through special activities. We are sure this will prove to be fun filled and exciting. Hibernation is another fun subject we will be learning about. The children will learn about sleeping the winter away and follow that up with Pajama Day at the end of the month. Let's all stay warm and cozy together! Brrrrrrrr!!! -Miss Sue |
