Music Enrichment Programming
Our Founder Ted DiRezno was a children's song writer and wrote many of the songs we sing in school each day, including our School Song and Pennsylvania Song.
The Brite Music Program is an additional character building Music Curriculum we use. It teaches children how to stay safe and strong in today's world. In addition to our in-class music we have a monthly visit from a local musician and educator who leads us in song with her musical guitar! We believe music is critical to human development and to creative thought. Listening to music and singing or dancing together unites children and engages them in physical activity. Individuals come to feel a part of the community when singing together. Music gives children the opportunity to express their feelings. Music is also academic. The rhythmic quality of music fosters children’s ability to keep time and count sequences, it also develops the skills necessary for learning to read and write. |
