We celebrated Hanukkah!

12/6/2013

In today's class, we talked about Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights!  It usually comes during the same month as Christmas, but this year it started on November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving, and finished December 5th.  Hanukkah lasts for eight day, and is the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days.  Families get together to light the Menorah to celebrate this miracle.  We also learned about two of our emotions, Triste (sad) and Feliz (happy).  These are our new vocabulary words for today, and we all know that there will be many feliz faces at this time of year.

                                                Gracias,

                                                Ms. Simone
