F.A.Q.'s

Online programing has become a necessity for all schools during the governors "Stay in Place" measures. We are learning as we go and welcome any questions, and suggestions. Below are some F.A.Q's we have received. This list will be updated as more questions come in!

What if I cannot attend the live virtual classes?

All classes will be recorded and loaded onto a private sharing platform for you to view at any time while our program is running. You do not need to attend in real time.

What technology do I need?

Our classes will be run on Zoom, a video sharing platform. You will need to have a video enabled smartphone, tablet or computer. You will also need to set up an account with Zoom here, and download the Zoom software on your device.

What if I have two children?

Our current tuition is per family, not per student.  Our teachers will be customizing the class curriculum based on who is registered.

My child is wiggling and moving during story time, what should I do?

A moving or wiggling body does not mean your child isn’t listening or learning
Sitting in front of a screen for more than a few minutes at a time and staying completely focused is developmentally inappropriate for most children under the age of 6. If your child needs to move around the room, play with a toy, that’s fine! In fact, it can be helpful to provide something else for their hands or body to do right at the start. We don’t expect young children to sit still and listen all day at school, and the same should go for virtual learning at home!

Will ELRC subsidies cover virtual programing?

Our virtual education offerings is a program to fill the need of families looking for activities while they are home, it is not a replacement for childcare or supervision of your child. We are unable to accept subsidies for this program. If financing is a concern for you family please reach out to tamara@tdrmont.net to work out a plan that can support your families needs.
